Emile and Madelina have both been in the rescue before and previously rehomed. Due to a change in circumstances for their owner and, through no of fault of their own, are back in the rescue, looking for a new forever home. They are a bonded pair, around 3 years old and are beautiful and loving with humans. Emile, however, can be awkward to take to other ferrets, although it still is possible as he has lived with other ferrets before. Because of their loving nature to people, they would make great pets for first time owners. Albinos often get overlooked in rescue, but often make some of the sweetest pets, just as these two would.

Update on the beautiful Emile and Madelina.

These two lovelies are two of many that are looking for their forever homes. One of our lovely fosterers has had the pleasure of fostering these two recently and it has been lovely to see their personalities shine through.

Emile showing off his big whiskers and Madeline with her big soulful eyes we think are around 3 to 4 years old. Both came in on separate occasions as strays. Madelina was in very poor condition when she arrived but as you can see she has blossomed beautifully. These two are the best of friends, they adore each other and play energetically together z they were both re-homed but family circumstances changed which cannot be helped so this is their second spell back in rescue.

Emile is a big chunky, peachy polar bear and the photo below doesn’t do his size or colour justice. He is a quirky boy who loves to play with his humans and with Madelina. He is gentle when playing but does have a serious fear of missing out. If he does not have you full attention he will start to nip through clothing. These aren’t bad bites but sharp enough to make you notice. For this reason he wouldn’t be suitable for those new to ferrets unless you are confident and can give him time, patience and structure so he can learn that this behaviour isn’t needed to be loved. This is a behaviour that has been noticed more frequently since his return back to rescue. Emile is a good eater and enjoys both meat and kibble. He absolutely loves a ball and will scoot around with one and chuckle away to himself.

Madelina on the other hand is completely bomb proof and is soft as muck. She is a very friendly girl. She has been known to make use of a human in that she will picture them as a climbing frame to try and reach what is out of her little limits. Like Emile she absolutely loves to play, more so with him at the moment than with humans but does enjoy human company. She will often reach the food bowl first as she is much less nosey than Emile who will be too busy watching you potter about! She is not a fussy eater and has eaten everything we have provided.
